Jargar stringsare made from a very flexible steel core and produce a big, powerful, distinct and well-balanced tone. They are easily combined with other brands and especially the A string is often combined with other brands.

About Jargar Strings:
Around 1950, Danish cellist Jarl Hansenwanted more from his cello than gut stringscould provide. As a member of the RoyalDanish Opera Orchestra he becameincreasingly interested in string quality andsound, and for years he experimented in hisspare time until 1956, when he was readyto start his own company, Jargar Strings.
WhatJarl Hansendeveloped was a steel corebased string, wound with thin threads of pureor alloyed metal. These new strings had awarm and brilliant tone and greater stability, durability andstrength than gut strings.
